Vehicle height detection system
System designed to detect vehicles exceeding the permitted height. It is used before underpasses and tunnels to indicate to the means of transport - exceeding the permitted height - to pull over or change direction if possible, so as to avoid blocking the road and causing queues and traffic.
How does the height detection of passing vehicles work?
The laser sensor, located on the side of the road, upon detecting a vehicle with a height exceeding to pre-set one, can activate a series of alarms such as, for example, flashing systems and/or variable message signs that can also provide guidance for a potential alternative exit.
